Can ChatGPT or Claude watch your videos?

Yes, once they can reach your footage. ChatGPT and Claude connect to clipcloud as an MCP connector. Ask for a shot in plain words, and they find it in your Google Drive, opened on that moment.

Why file names don’t help your AI

Your clips have names like IMG_4821.MOV. A name tells your AI nothing about what’s in the shot. clipcloud searches what’s in the footage instead: what’s shown, what’s said and what’s written on screen.

How to let ChatGPT or Claude find a clip in your Drive

  1. Share a Google Drive folder with clipcloud. It only sees the folder you share. During the beta, a clipcloud founder links a whole Shared Drive for you.
  2. In ChatGPT or Claude, add clipcloud as a connector and sign in.
  3. Ask for the shot in plain words. Example: “find the espresso pouring into the middle glass.”
  4. It opens on that moment: IMG_4821.MOV at 0:23 in our example, just before the pour.
  5. Send the link. Your editor lands on the same moment, with no account needed.

It also finds what’s said in a clip and what’s written on screen. Your originals stay in your Drive.
